A meaningful essay….

有一個年輕人,大學畢業後準備報考研究所,

並同時應徵了一份非常嚮往的工作,

然而,似乎天不從人願,他研究所沒有考上,

原先最嚮往的工作也沒有錄取,還跟女朋友分手。

他受不了精神上的打擊,整個人變得極為憂鬱、退縮。

好朋友介紹他去向一位心理治療師求助,

他憂愁地說:「我的研究所沒考上,想要的工作沒錄取,

女朋友也告吹了,這些我都失去了,我現在什麼都沒有了!」

在跟治療師傾訴完自己的不幸之後,

治療師耐心、微笑地問了他幾個問題:

「怎麼會什麼都沒有呢?想一想,五年前的你,有大學文憑嗎?」

「沒有。」

「對!所以,現在的你,比起五年前,多了張大學文憑!」

「五年前的你,有一技之長嗎?」

「沒有。」

「所以,現在的你,至少在工作實力上,比起五年前要好了很多!」

「五年前,你有跟你剛分手的女朋友在一起嗎?」

「也沒有。」

「所以,現在的你也沒有比以前慘,不但如此,

你還在學裡交到了一群死黨!」

接著,治療師用一種興奮的口氣對他說:

「想一想,這五年來你不但沒有失去很多,

反而得到了很多,你的生命中,多了很多原本沒有的東西!

你的收穫多大啊!」年輕人頓時豁然開朗。

其實,又何止是這個年輕人呢?

人,都很容易把焦點給定在自己所「失去」的東西,

都很喜歡用『減法』來看自己的人生、生活。

然而,人生該是『加法』!

該多用『加法』的角度來看自己的生活,

多看自己所「得到」的,少看自己所錯失的,

必會讓您有許多意想不到的驚喜與感動。

很多人都會陷入『減法』的人生觀,

以至於現代人的憂鬱症狀越趨嚴重,

甚至憂鬱症還被"世界衛生組織"(WHO)

給預言為人類「二十一世紀第三大疾病」!

此現象的嚴重可見一般。

故人生應該要多用"加法",少用"減法 "。

Am I all set??

    Looking at the time, its Friday already. A couple more days, uni is going to start. Am I prepare to face all this pressure and stress again? Sigh…oh….I went to Westfield Shoppo with my sis tonite, I saw one of the ring I really like. Looking at the price, $35, hm..its alrite, I’ll get it. Then when I was about to pay the price, it turn out the ring got 50% off then a further 20% off. In the end, my ring only cost me $15!!!! Every thing there is like that, 50% off, then a further 20%. Same with other shops, I will go there again 2molo!!!! I want to shop more before Uni start…haha

Now the waiting game…

    I’ve finished my presentation and coffe time today. I think I did alright in the presentation, but some how I felt time really fly when I was talking. Or did I just finish it in 2 mins? I’ll never be able to find out now, just hope for the best. I’m joining this waiting game now, waiting for a reply from the boss to tell me if I’m accepted to work for them or better luck next time. As Lewis said, fingers cross. The staffs I had coffee with, actually, no one order coffee. Haha, one ordered Tea and the other staff and me ordered Hot Chocolate. The Chocolate tasted really nice, or is it because I just finished something so stressing? haha, thank you so much Lewis!!! You helped me to put together the slides and it does look very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope my luck hasn’t run out yet. I really do want to get some experience and I think this job will offer what I’m looking for. hehe..wish me luck ppl!!!!

Romantic Friday

    I didn’t blog down what I did on Friday. On Friday, it was black friday having 13th as the day. But I end up having a fun time out. My bf drove me up to Mt Dang to have lunch. We went to Snooty Fox again (we both loves that place very much). They have this event called "Christmas in July". They decorate the place just like you would in real Christmas time, I guess it really suit  Christmas being cold and all. It was raining out side. Hehe, I order the Christmas set and Richard order something else. They forgot to give me the bread roll when they give out the soup, oh well, I’m not too fussy about that so its oki. I had a lovely time there, the meal was nice, the place was nice, the mood was nice, everything was nice. Only thing that is not good is they had really slow services. Oh well, I’ll just enjoy my relaxing time out. Then after lunch, I planned to go to Knox City to shop for a proper pant for the next interview. I don’t have any work pants at home. It was too crowded to find a parking spot, so went to Westfield Shopping Town instead. Hehe, I tried a few on and for the last one, it really suit me so I decided to buy that one. So now, haha, I’ve got a pant to wear for my next interview. I had a really fun time out, thx Richard!!!!!!
 

    Now, I’m preparing the slides for the presentation. I only did 4 so far and I need to prepare for my meeting 2molo. Arrgghhh….*SLAP SLAP*..stop being a slacker Sandi!!!!!!!!! Focus and work lah, or else, it will be you that end up destorying this great opportunity!!!!

First job interview in a life time

    I had my first job interview today, haha, I should be ashame of myself for that. But, what the heck. Its a software company that really interest me, I really want to use what I’ve learn in real life. Guess who I saw when I went for the interview? I saw JUNY!!!! She is working there already, for a week or so. Haha, man I want this job even more now. Its good to have someone I know in a work place. The interview today is quite interesting and fun. I guess I’ve got the easy questions. Well they are, its just introduce my self and answer some questions about myself and about what I know about the company. Simple. Also, the boss was very very very friendly as well. Now, I need to prepare a 20mins presentation for my next interview. Juny, I need your help!!!!! Hope I can go well and maybe if I’m lucky enough to actually get the position XD. hehe..wish me more luck ppl!!!

Transformers 2007

    I can’t believe I woke up at 8:30am and went to Eastland by 9:10am to catch the 9:30am Transformers. Maggie and Kwan asked to go, since I haven’t saw them for a while and a bit interest in Transformers I agree to go. The movie is not as bad as I thought, I actually thought the robots are cool. But my bf thought its not that good, get a little annoying after all those transformaing. Oh well, but it is a long movie, its like nearly 3 hours. Oh well, my mind went blank now I don’t know what to write. I’ll write more later if I can.

Results are out!!!

    Ho ho ho, I check my result on Thursday through the "sneaky" way. I needed to work on Thursday night so I didn’t get to read the email until I finish work. I checked my email straight away and was very very very surprise at my result. I didn’t even know I scroll down to the bottom of the result already. Haha, I’ve got another H1!!! I was able to sqeeze in one last one and I’ve got another one for this semester. I was really reall really surprise but happy. The rest I’ve got 2 H2A, just missing out on a H1 by not much. But oh well, I am happy…hehe…let’s hope I can do as well next semster and graduate!!!!!!!!!!!!
