Shopping shopping shopping~!!!

I’ve heard about the opening of a new DFO in South Wharf but have never been, since haven’t searched where it is. Last Sunday, Richard and I decided to give the South Wharf DFO a visit. We were lost on the way because we set the wrong address to the GPS XD. I went on to my phone and hoping to catch the address from the DFO site. Unfortunately, the site is created with flash and my Blackberry can’t play flash. Next, I tried the Google map app and typed ‘South Wharf’ in to the destination. It knows where it is!!! I’ve got the address from the map and Richard putted it into the GPS and we are on our way again.

The parking is not that cheap ($6 per hour) but you can get 50% discount if you are a DFO customer and the same with another store that I couldn’t remember the name. DFO is located at the basement level and it is bigger than the Southern Cross station DFO. Not every shop is having a worth buying sales. Anyway, the highlight of the day was, we bought 3 pairs of Super Dry brand jeans for around ~$120. Normally, that would probably get you one pair of Super Dry jeans or maybe not. I’ve bought 2 pairs and Richard got one. It is worth buying!!! I wasn’t going to buy at first but I couldn’t resisted the bargain and they’ve got my size as well. So why not right? They don’t have much size 26 but still got some for size 27/28. If you are interested, better go before the sales gone. Use ‘End of financial year sales’ as an excuse to shop. Or you will need to wait till Christmas for another huge sales event.

Red Nose Day

I didn’t kRed Nose Day logonow today is Red nose day until I bumped into a volunteer at Flinder street station. People are coming out from the under ground alley and he was blocking my way with a woman purchasing. I stood there and look at the mechandise box, then realised it’s Red Nose Day!  So, I’ve got out my wallet and purchase one of their cute red nose dino soft toy.

Come on Australia! Please help the children by purchasing one of their merchanises. It is for a good cause =)

Like I’ll give up that easily?

Why is it so hard to even type a blog post? Most of all, it’s MY OWN blog! My brain keep on restructuring sentences that I just typed and thought it would make it better; less embarrassing when people stumble across my site and read it. OMG! If I can’t write freely on my own blog then what’s the point of having it? Oki oki, I know people might read it since it’s public. But would they care about my poorly structured sentences and grammar though? I hope not. People can be pedentic but please understand that I already acknowlege my problem and don’t rub it in further. I don’t have rich vocabulary like my friend but that shouldn’t stop me from expressing my own feelings right? Anyway, let me continue.

Today, I’ve hit a road block at work. I’ve tried hard to come up of a solution to my task which I did last night and has proven that it works today. Though, idea takes time to implement and I’ve taken longer than I expected. My colleague is right. I don’t have the full knowledge about how the sites work and how the systems work.  I am setting goals and rules for myself.

Before next montly scrum meeting:

  • Gain knowlege about how the systems work; individually and collectively.
  • Gain knowldge about the three sites.
  • Learn regular expression.
  • Study ‘Code Complete’ and apply the teachings in work tasks.

Don’t ask for help until I have tried the following solutions:

  • Go through the codes line by line.
  • Check capture data.
  • Capture my own data.
  • Take a walk to refresh my mind before continuing if I’m stuck.
  • Write down the logic to see if that spark new ideas.

Let’s hope this will improve my performance and producitvity!!

World Cup 2010 has begun

The every 4th year event has begun for a couple of days already and I thought maybe I should blog about it. I’ve watched the Korea Republic VS Greece yesterday night and it was a clean match. Korea was very polite and always have a smile on their faces which I guess is good sportsmanship. Then I watched the first half of Argentina VS Nigeria and it was boring as! So I stopped there and went home to sleep (I went to watch the game at my bf’s place).

Tonight, well actually tomorrow morning at 4:30am we have Australia VS Germany. I hope I will be able to wake up and not miss this one. I want to see how Australia perform! To be honest, I don’t know much about football and their players but I found them fun to watch. Oki, I better stop here and go to bed. Let’s hope it will be a fun match to watch.
